WRX Hood Scoop Fitment Idea/Question

I was just kinda browsing around the boards, and thought of a few ideas, and wanted to run them across you all first.
On the fitment of a wrx hoodscoop, which I know has been discussed several times before on here....
I was thinking.....put the scoop on the hood, measure, drill holes, then feed the screw moutning points underneath the scoop through the drilled holes, and you put a nut underneath it, bam you are done.
or is that to easy
I read about rivets and such but then it will be harder to remove, that and with the pre screws already on the scoop its already flat and smooth on top of the scoop, no screw heads showing.
I am assuming this to be done on a NA hood, with a scoop hole already cut BTW.

But will that work, the screws should feed through and press the scoop flat up against the hood, and make it look just as clean.
3M tape is not good, nor will it hold the scoop flat.

What do you all think?

that wont work..... the WRX hoodscoop's bolt holder things, stick out below the bottom of the hoodscoop (make sense?) so if you just used the bolt's on the scoop it would sit about 1/4" off of the hood. the WRX's have a sunken indent in the hood to compensate for this.

yeah thats what I thought, I couldnt really tell if that would happen, cuz the hoodscoop site below the hood on wrx so the air flows smoother into the hood.
So couldnt I just indent the hood downward a bit, and try and mimic what a wrx does, to at least make it sit right?
i am just trying to avoid, removing the bottom bolts, and drilling holes throught the scoop, and then have to hid the head of the screws.

IMO that scoop looks ugly on your car, and that gap makes it really ugly :( if you're going to put a scoop on your car, make it flush with the hood......
