Hey guys, im new to this and ive brought a gear knob 4 my new 1990 subaru legacy ti (manual sedan), but cant seem to get it on, can you help me out. does the stock gear knob even screw off???!!!

Stock shift knob screws off. Try harder.

What shift knob did you buy? I believe the required threading is M12x1.25, same as the lugnuts.

i just puld the whole gear stik off, mine must be stuck or sumthn, ive tried hard as. would u be able to tell me if its plastic under neath the knob after its been screwed off, or metal
