I'm presently running the cheap stuff (87 low grade) and I can get 12.5 PSI with no knock. > 12.5PSI = knock knock. Any guesses as to what I can boost on 94?
Come on - I'm taking a poll

1.5bar + if you have an IC, but the turbo efficiency is not so good above 1bar or so.

Tonight I drove up a mountain road. Mostly 4th and 5th at 15PSI. Pretty cold out (5C), 60MPH+, 10min+ no problems. No knock.
Also, I have the MAP pressure line completely disconnected from the sensor. No fuel cut. No MAP info to the ECU. Seems to work ok. I am going on the fact that the ECU uses only O2 sensor and MAF info to set the fuel. Does anyone know if this is true - cause if it ain't I'm being a bit sketchy here.......

I'm surprised your car ISN'T cutting fuel without the map signal.

i can only sense either or. With just MAP I get unpredectible CELS and safe mode operation. Dangerous. With just atmospheric there seems to be no caveats. I have a Blitz external boost controller.
These cars are pretty cool - well mine's an impreza, but still.
