Subaru says goodbye to GM/Saab, hello to Toyota

Have you guys seen this?
GM is selling it's 20% stock in Subaru. Woo hoo! Half of that is being sold to Toyota and the rest sold off to whoever. Presumably this will be a strategic collaboration.

Thats awesome! Toyota makes great, reliable vehicles too.
I guess they didn't want to be linked to POS's anymore.

Earlier in the year the credit-rating agencies down-graded
GM's debt to junk. Toyota still carries a AAA-rating.
Toyota will be a strong partner. GM is quickly becoming
a financial disaster.

Yes Ford is a developing disaster as well.
About 8 years ago Brock Yates at CAR AND DRIVER wrote
that unless they(GM and Ford) could build and sell the equivalent of a
Toyota Camry or Honda Accord they were toast.
