nice shots! I sure wish I was there...lucky you, a tarmac rally too! Sweet. Like the rally cars decked out with their street kicks. Sounds like quite a trip you had, how long were you gone?
Thanks
Micum

Gone a total of 10 days, didn't get a chance to see any one place fully, which sucks; but that just means i'll have to back again some other time. Since this was the last Rally San Remo, i'll have to book accomodations in sadinia next time...
No josh, i didn't get you anything, unless you consider my wonderful presence back in the USA gift enough.
More rally action in the NW happens october 25th down on mt. hood.

Oooohhhhh man!
You just made me decide to go to Mexico.
Observation 1: I've been to pro rallies, and the one big difference I notice in your pics is that the cars are way to clean and sexy to be rally cars. I guess that's what you get with big$$ and a clean tarmac rally.
Observation 2: The pic "Makinen at speed" clearly involved risking your life!
So how did you find your way around? Did you have anyone to show you the ropes? Or were you able to just find good spots on your own? I imagine there was english pretty much everywhere?

its interesting hearing antilag go off in your ear. really.

Having traveled overseas before, i kind-of have a feel for how finding my way around goes. But i always had a map handy. Ropes? Not really, i just followed where the big group of people where going. The FIA mandates that all rally programmes must be printed in the home language as well as english, so that helped a ton.
English isn't as wide spoken in Italy as i thought, but there are plenty of people who speak it. when I found a restaurant that had an english speaker, i pretty much stuck to it.
