Hey, guys I just joined today. I got a wrx intercooler on ebay for $50.00 for my 91' legacy turbo
I have seen some pretty bad installations (not on this site) but I figure the best way to fit a 45 degree turbocharger to a 90 degree tube on the IC is to get a wrx 90 degree turbocharger. what do you guys think? All input is appreciated. Livestrong!

Sure. You just need to do a little custom work to make the compressor inlet work for you, but it'll work.

i dont have a wrx turbo, but what I want is the TD05H-16G - Modified Rotated Inlet that you can find at <
http://boostplanet.com/product2.htm>
specially made inlet to fit the USDM legacy turbos. they say its not worth the effort to change over from 90 degree inlet to the TD04 on USDM WRX's, since its not that much better of a turbo.
just some info ive gotten from readin around, take it easy up there portland.

Been there, done that. See the thread I started on my swap.

It will require some custom work, so be prepared. I think it was worth it, since it was cheap, alot newer than the old turbo that was on there, and it does push more air (every little bit helps!

). And now, a bigger turbo, such as a VF39, VF22, whatever, is just a simple remove and replace ordeal. I just have to upgrade the fuel system first.

Not to be a goober or anything, but why is this question about turbochargers in the intercooler section, and the post named "FMIC vs TMIC w/ ducted hoodscoop" in the turbocharger section?
It had me confused for a second.
