Do you think it was worth $800? It doesn't have any rust.
It has a few scrapes, mostly on bumpers, but no deep cuts or terrible things that some touchup cant take care of, but only one noticeable dent on the right front fender. From what I can tell, the car has never had any previous bodywork, I can't see any signs of any overspray paint.
just drove it home today. Will need lots of TLC, and have to go through the mechanical things in the coming months.
Already know the tranny slips some, maybe it is just low on ATF (hope that is it), but I dont even care for now, I have a spare tranny from my Touring Wagon that I can throw in, I know it works pretty okay, better than this did on my way home with it. Again, will check fluid levels this weekend.
My quick list of parts to go get this weekend for this SS are:
rear driver side door strip molding with clips
both inside mirror covers
both seat back adjuster plastics
rear passenger side ashtray for the door
a radio.
I think i might get the cosmetics done first, then will have all fall and winter for the mechanics. I am moving in less than 2 weeks, to cold and snowy Iowa, where I can't getany bodyparts that are decently used.
. this will be a good snowmobile for the drifts there. But again, I already have my touring wagon, and it is known to have good mechanics since I have put work into it.
wish me luck, another good find i think.
