Okay i was at work and decided to take pictures of the different subaru heads(2.5sohc, 2.5DOHC, and early 2.2sohc) so that people who haven't seen them can see the differences in size and valve sizes.
1st picture: From left to right.
2.5 sohc, 2.2sohc, 2.5dohc.

2nd picture: 2.5 sohc compared to 2.2sohc

3rd picture: 2.5 Sohc compared to 2.5Dohc

4th picture compares valves: 2.5 sohc, 2.2sohc, 2.5dohc.

One thing i forgot to mention is that i think that was a turbo 2.2 head, it has been awhile since i took those pictures but there is not many difference in size for the 2.2NA. The turbo heads use a 1.8 intake valve which is smaller(seat is still the same size) than the 2.2NA intake valve which i assume is to allow more air through and its own special thicker exhaust valves.
