Just for fun I took some pics of my Turbos (sorry a little fuzzy, it was getting dark).
On the Left, 1987 RX 3-door Coupe, Fulltime 4WD dual range 5MT with center diff lock, LSD rear diff.
On the right... 1991 Sport Sedan, 5MT, VLSD rear diff.
More pics of the cars and stuff here:

nice!
what kind of power/boost are RX's good for, and what are some common mods for them? I think I heard somehwere that they have weak heads and head gaskets? they look like a blast to drive.

subyluvr2212, the pics hid a few flaws but its in pretty good shape, the worst spot on the car is on the left rear quarter, small dent/scrape with a bit of surface rust starting (see pic below). I'm hoping to repaint it in the spring. BTW, the bumper is ok, just chipped, it will clean up fine for re-paint.
206er, the RX runs 7psi stock with 115HP, the WRX TMIC and TD04 make a great upgrade for the EA82T, but like all these cars you cant go to far without running out of fuel with the stock ECU. The head gaskets aren't nearly the issue some make them out to be, they just dont like gettng over heated (no engine with aluminum heads does), keep the cooling system in good order and most problems will be avoided. For all the scoop on the RX (and other EA cars) do some pokin around here:

Douglas, you aint kiddin about fast. Yesterday, on the way home I was playing a casual game of leap frog on the freeway with a beat up riced Del Sol (body kit bumper hanging loose off the back and all). I glanced down at the speedo expecting 90ish... nope 110mph, rock solid, smooth as glass and lots-o-pedal left. Needless to say, I let up, no need to get stupid.

Awesome shop!!
Is that a gray Legacy wagon in the background?? How is it's condition?

That actually appears to be an EA82 wagon in the background. I know Gary has a lot to do with the 80's Scoobs, and for that he has my utmost respect

Good eye subyluvr, its a '87 GL wagon, my first Sube, its pretty hammered. It was given to me with a cracked head (brother-in-law botched a thermostat change and ran it outa water), I fixed it and drove it through one winter and my love of Subarus was started. My kid has drivin it for the last year, but I recently picked up a clean '91 Loyal for him (see pic). The wagon may get some work for my daughter to drive.
Yeah busdriver, I LOVE my shop! After years of working outside in the dirt I really appreciate it and use it daily. Two bays on this end and my paint booth, and we just added another 36' on the back with two roll ups. Total size now 84' x 36', its over twice the size of my house... just as it should be.

My dad and I share it and if its not big enough now we will just have to start throwing stuff away.

Del Sol
just the words make me laugh. I had a '91 civic Si, manual windows, no AC nice and light, and drove a friend's del Sol and I couldn't believe how bad it sucked for being roughly the same mechanicals
was there really a dude driving the del Sol ?
btw nice cars, I just saw an RX for sale in the local Job Lot parking lot, the local hang-your-forsale-sign-in-your-window spot, white just like yours but I didn't stop to look, yet. it looked pretty fresh from the drive-by I thought it was a dodge Daytona at first (similar to the untrained eye passing at 50 mph)

You are the luckiest man alive!! Ultra Clean RX and SS...man...
My buddy is gonna pick up a 1987 RX Turbo this week I think, for like $1200, with 135,000 on it and a newer motor...
I hope I get some seat time!!

Not sure about being the luckiest man alive, but I get along OK.
Thanks for all the kind words guys.
The pic is a bit deceptive with respect to the RX, I picked the best side and the SS is strategically placed to cover a primer spot on the left rear quarter, the other side of the RX doesn’t look near as nice. I have a ’86 Turbo Coupe parts car with all I need to fix up the RX. In fact I just got through swapping out the long block, because the one in the RX had a head gasket letting go, I drove it blowing bubbles for 3000miles before it got bad enough to push out water, even then it would only overheat if you let it get low (Subaru’s are tough). For a car with 309,000 miles that only cost me $500 I think its pretty nice.

Speaking of my good eye, I was also gonna call out the 3-door sitting in front of the GL wagon, which I think you just mentioned as being a Turbo Coupe! Those are rare, as much as RX's if you ask me.
Oh, and is that a brown GenII EA81 wagon all the way in the back?
That Loyale looks very nice too.
I should know all the cars you have, Gary, as active as you are on the USMB, but I don't

Your eyes may be failing you, lol, the brown car in the far distance is a Buick (dads old car, no compression in one hole, you can have it real cheap).
I currently have 5 Subes (all mentioned here), but I've only been into them for a few years, give me time... you should see my collection of air-cooled VW stuff.
One more pic just for fun

Dammit! My eyes have been failing me in my 21 years of age. I guess now that I look at it, the rear door is waay too long to be anything on a Subie...

You asked for it...
I really only have one VW in presentable shape right now, the custom '59 Vert I built for my wife, this one started as boxes of rust parts and after about 6 years of spare time and money it became this...
Before pic (with my '57 Oval in the background)...
I also have a buggy in the works, '69 IRS pan converted to link pin front beam, 1.8L bus engine and trans.
I've got 4 other parts cars and sheds stacked full of junk. More pics here:
