I have read about the megasquirt system. Supposedly it is a pretty good SAEM but it does not have the following or support of say a Hydra or another like system. You could buy it, but then you alone would be tweaking it, as I don't know anyone around that knows how to handle them.

yeah, well I'm not even close to needing any management, but if it is the full system then why not jump on a good deal?

There are a few guys on USMB running MegaSquirt on EA series engines, I dunno about EJ's. Check out MegaSquirt's forum.

There are a few people running megasquirt on more recent cars.

They have 2 main versions: Megasquirt I, which is fuel management, and Megasquirt II, which is spark and fuel management.

Find more info here and here.

both have spark
for the last four or five month i have been looking into MS and the more I look the better it gets

12x12 tables
switchable tables
high or low imp injectors
nitrous and water injection control
map or alpha N
closed and open loop
two step rev limit

with any luck i can get part together and by the end of this year my 95 impreza will have a MSed JDM Legacy motor but I done know of anyone with a EJ engine being run in a Subaru all that I know of are in sandrails
