EJ205 heads on EJ22T block..from a management point of view?

Hey guys.

I'm thinking about what I'm going to do with the EJ22T shortblock sitting in my garage...I've come together with 2 options:

1) WRX heads with WRX intake manifold, cams

2) EJ22T heads/intake manifold with reground cams, possibly port job if porting isn't outrageously expensive

I'm thinking about 1 because there's more parts availiable, way better flowing, etc. But onto what this post is actually about..

If you're using EJ205 intake manifold, do you basically need to convert your wiring to WRX? I mean...are the sensors similar enough/replaceable to get away with using the EJ22T ECU (or wire-in standalone)?

I'm planning on using the eManage ultimate, or a standalone, possibly Megasquirt, if I was using the EJ22T wiring. I think it would be a HUGE pain in the ass to convert over to WRX ECU, even though the benefits of plug and play standalones, UTEC, and reflashes are present.

What do you guys think?

Bump, I'm planning on doing the same thing down the road, and I'm wondering the same thing-

Is the emanage a full standalone or piggy back?

If piggyback how will it work to try and get your single cam ecu to manage a dual cam head?
