Got the A/C compressor in, and everything pretty much wrapped up on Sunday. It was not without issues though. I figured the A/C stuff should be 2-3 hours. It took all day Saturday and then some. The new compressor kit has a different bracket and hoses, which must be used. Plus I was having issues with my gauges not sealing correctly. But it's in, and air blows cold. I think 46 or 47 deg F was the coldest the temp got.
I've got some things I want to test/check out, but I'll work on that separately.
Here's the latest pics

Sweet!
What did you use for a vacuum pump?
Your car is amazing.

A vacuum pump

I bought one from summit or jegs a while ago. I've used it a couple times between the two cars. It was worth the money IMO.
Thanks Vikash, I appreciate the comments....it's been a long road....and the past week or so has been quite trying.....I seemed to run into issue after issue.
Oh....just curious....those of you with turbo cars, do you have the plastic splash shields?

Ah, neat.
Yeah, you've put a huge amount of work into the whole job... I can't think of another car that I would deem worthy of such swaps, either. Congratulations on getting through it.
Is that the shield that goes just underneath a post-facelift turbo model's fog light hole? I have both of those, but they flop out every once in a while.

It goes at the corners of the frame rails right behind the core support.
I'd have to check the parts manual to see if it's not included on the post face lift models or even turbos.

Thanks guys
Yeah I've got a turbo badge from Japan. I'll probably put it on tomorrow. I'm going to clean the inside and out.....it needs it, especially the outside after sitting for 3 months.
The power actually comes on pretty smooth, I think when I bump up boost a little, I'll want more

Am I correct that I see some rad support banging in order to make a turbo rad fit?
And seriously dude, I get so jealous everytime I look at your car. I seriously think you've got the pimpest BC/BF in the US
Oh and, just curious, why didn't you coffee-mug it?
Oh yeah, and one more thing. That exhaust looks über-pimp!

I don't have a pic of it installed, but it goes right in the corner of the inner frame rail & behind the radiator lower support

I'll try and take a pic or scan something tonight.
I looked in the parts book, and the turbo cars got a different plastic piece that just looks like it had been trimmed to clear the exhaust piping. So if I can get a decent pic of what one looks like, I'll probably just cut mine to fit.

I don't have the turbo radiator, just my standard n/a auto radiator. It is a new radiator. My old one had the plastic end cap death a few years ago. In terms of cooling, I haven't seen any issues where temps were rising above where they should be and the fans not being able to bring temps down. That was even before I added some water wetter.
I did do some banging on the bumper beam to get the AWIC radiators to fit.
I didn't coffee mug it yet because I haven't gotten around to it yet. Plus I wasn't sure how the piping was going to be for the AWIC, so I was going to do both at the same time.

Thanks guys for all your comments. I really appreciate them.
I'd like to get all the documentation of mods and such on my site, and submit the car to subiesport and see if they have any love for the older legacies to do an article or something.

Oh. I don't think I have those on either of my cars.

I bet they have love for the BC. There is a Liberty RS in the December issue. Ryan Douthit, publisher/editor, took an SS on the Alcan 5000 (and rolled, IIRC). This was in 2002, before Subiesport.
Here are some pics I took at the start:

I remember seeing the SS and later reading in Tekbug about it being totalled.
