swap time i NEED help

i am wanting to put an ej20t in my 91 fwd legacy, i have done some searching and not found exactly what i am looking for, i need to know what i need to get, to make this swap work, by that i mean a complete list of what it takes to make that motor run in my car, i would really appreciate a list, because i have heard a few different things, and i wanna make sure that i get the right parts that i need, thank you very much any help is appreciated

Well...the motor itself will bolt in...however you will probably have to use a 2.5 RS Clutch, as it is push type (your tranny is push, Legacy Turbo is pull type) instead of pull...
You will need to go one of two routes:
1) Get the EJ20G ECU and Engine wiring harness, and all associated peripherals
2) Use a Standalone ECU setup (e.g. Megasquirt) and make your own wiring setup.
If you stay FWD, I forsee some issues, as the FWD transmission for the N/A cars isn't all that strong...and Subaru didn't produce any FWD performance based Legacies...so an AWD conversion might be in order, then you could run a WRX transmission or something like that, or see if you could find upgraded gearsets for the FWD transmission...

Mechanically, its an easy swap. The wiring is the fun part. Personally, I think it would be easier to wire in a megasquirt than rip the whole wiring harness out of the car, swear alot after doing that, unwrap all the tape, and do a bunch of cutting, splicing, and connector swapping. But the megasquirt isn't for the faint of heart either. Its pretty much complete control.
Don't forget turbo X-member, decent fuel pump, clutch, and other bits I'm probably forgetting.

EJ20t is a nice swap, mechanically.
If you use legacy turbo heads, and top end, you'll have an easier time wiring. If you're using ej20t all the way thru, I'd think there would be more challenges.
Have you though about an ej20g instead? It is a better block.

Huh? There is no such thing as an Ej20T, but it has become the generic term for any 2.0l Subaru turbo engine. As such, you can't say an Ej20G is better because you really have no idea what engine he is starting with!!!
Beyond that, I know of a handful of people who have used the FWD transmission with a 2.0l turbo swap. Like any other Subaru tranny, if you don't hammer on it, it will hold up...

would it be easier to just find an ej22t and do the swap like that?? i wanna get around 230 hp without doing much upgrade, im kinda low on the moolah, is it easier to just put a turboed version into my car???

Doing such a conversion without much $$ isn't such a good idea...
Don't let me ruin your plans or anything, but this kinda thing will nickel and dime you to DEATH!!

Personally, I feel the FWD tranny will hold up better because you have less strain on the gears because you have all the power being transferred directly to the drive shaft and not having to be routed to the center diff and front & rear output shafts.
Plus, you'll spin tires and relieve stress that way.
