I was watching dream car garage and they put about a 500 shot of NOS on a stock 89 Mustang 5.0 just to try and blow it up. They weren't even driving the car, they just put it on a lift and floored it. Can you guess what happened next??

BOOM!! A giant flame shot out of the hood...and so did half the engine. I have seen some cool shit in my day but seeing people blowing up perfectly good fords just brings a smile to my face.

The guy behind the wheel also had an evil laugh too....That guy loves his job!!

I do them pretty well too....it even got me suspended from high scool.

My ex-GF's mom wouldn't let me into her house unless I pulled my shirt up over my head and did Cornholio. It gets cold in Syracuse during the winter too.

Wasn't that sweet when they played it back in slow motion and you could just see the huge flame ball!!

Let me guess, then the Canadian made fun of the fat guy for being a fatty?
I miss that show now that I don't have Speed.

I used to have a sweet mustang with the 351 swap. I wrecked it not far from subyluvr2212's house. Orlando speed world.

<- wants a fox body, used NOS n20 system and a 500hp nozzle. :smt077
That would be a crazy 6 second ride before all hell broke loose. :-D
GOD would that be a blast for under $1,000. Then sell the shell and the NOS kit for the price you paid for it.

I had an old FHP fox body. I bought it for 800 at an FHP auction in Orlando. It was sweet when I got it.....even sweeter when I was done.

There is no such thing as a "perfectly good" Mustang.

You have to admit that a late late 80's, early 90's fox body done up right looks hella sweet!!!

1966 Shelby GT-350 - so good I made a chapter about one in book II. That and I like the Boss cars. Never really cared for them after that, but I think part of it is that all the spoiled rich kids around here back in HS had 5.0s. We used to taunt them with big blocks and built 350 sbcs. I do like tghe old pushrod engine better than the SOHC one they have now.

The only Mustang I have the slightest bit of respect for was the 03 Cobra supercharged. They ran 12's right off the showroom floor.

Well, they were still blowing up their engines though, even completely stock, so maybe I still think they're shit.

Those Cobra R's were pretty damn sweet with that wing.....and minus the BS. I think the "R" stood for RACECAR!!

No way dude! The Cobra R's were overpriced and underperforming!!

I saw a comparo between a Vette Z06 and a Cobra R... The Z06 beat the Cobra in every single performance test they put the cars through. From 0-60 to lateral g's. The Cobra had no radio, A/C, back seat, or anything remotely hospitable in the interior, all of which the Z06 had, and the Cobra STILL weighed 300lbs more and cost several thousand more!!

What is the price difference..if any.

The Z06 was right around $50k... the Cobra R was around $55k...

I hate Mustangs, and I am not much a fan of the Vette.

I'd rather have the Cobra R for the exclusivity. Any dickhead can get a Z06. The Cobra R was something not everyman knew about. Plus, they stood out in a crowd.

Like the viper. It's not something you see every day, and that makes it kind of cool.
