Why at that specific RPM?

Resonant frequency?

My car rattled like HELL at 2400 RPM. All related to a heat shield.

You probably have a few bolts that rusted through the heat shield. Happened to me.

I just ended up removing mine. Gangster yo.

Weight reduction.

Makes the car go faster.

Cold yet funny.

My altima has a bad CV joint and for some reason it vibrates like Jenna Jamisons top dresser drawer whenever I hit speeds over 45.

I am getting it fixed soon. Just too busy.

Hahaha thats too funny. I also have a vibration that only happens at certain RPM but I think its linked to the previous owners kid (who's my buddie) he launched the car too often and beat up the u-joints on the universal driveshaft

back on topic........

It's probably the heat shield. Get under the car and grab hold of the heat sheilding and see if anything is loose. Also, tap things with a hammer to see if you can reproduce it.
