Josh- I know I'm bringing up a loooong dead thread, but did you ever sell this Tranquil transmission quill sleeve? If not, I'm interested... Let me know.

What's that sleeve thing do anyhow?

If the quill on the front of the transmission where the T.O. bearing rides is worn or grooved, clutch action won't be smooth because the bearing cannot slide without binding and/or pitching (could even hang up entirely)... That can mean uneven en/disengagement of the pressure plate and a chattery clutch, or it can pop the clips off and spin around, eventually wearing through the quill entirely. Mine has a pretty bad groove in it from spinning around and I can't find another tranny case locally.

I see. I didn't notice there was a removable sleeve over the shaft.

There isn't one, usually. This is an adapter kit to put a sleeve over the worn quill and includes a throwout bearing with oversized ID to fit over the sleeve. Some people do it as a preventative thing.

I see. I was thinking that it was either a replacement sleeve or a sleeve with an overside inner diameter throwout bearing.

That's been a long while.....I'm pretty sure I sold it. If I still have it....I don't know where it is....which is why I believe I sold it.

Sorry.

Thanks, Josh. I figured it was a long shot, but thought I'd ask anyway. I was told they are back-ordered about a month, so If you come across that one, let me know ;)

Is that drive shaft still up for sale? If so is it out of an auto or manual?
