I am in the air between a turbo legacy for $2200 with 175,000 miles and a GMC Typhoon with 75,000 miles for $7,000. Wich do I go for? I am going to be selling the vehicle this spring/summer and I can get 12,000 for the typhoon.
Take a mild hit for t3h winter, or a nice scoob. What to do??

Keep the Legacy for ALL winters.
The thing to remember about the Typhoon, is that just because it's AWD, doesn't mean it's good in the snow. You KNOW the Subaru is good in winter.
I'd go for the SS, unless you have some huge boner for a Typhoon.

typhoons look like they'd be good in winter with some narrower tires. theyve gotta weigh what, 4,000 lbs?
I think its more the rarity of em.
I'd go with the SS.

I lusted after the Typhoon and Syclone back when they were still in production, and was even able to work on one when I used to do oil changes at a lube shop. Trucks are a lot faster than they used to be, but they still hold up rather well, even almost 15 years later.

Umm yeah typhoon most definitely. Its faster stock than a SS with thousands poured into it, not to mention its only gonna get more valuable as time goes on.

Yeah, I myself would at least have a very tough time deciding.
Syclones are rare enough, Typhoons more so.

Actually it's the other way around. The Syclone was made only in 91, while the Typhoon was a 92-93 model. 2995 versus 4700. Either way you look at it, that's not a lot.

The Typhoon's the Blazer one, right? Haven't seen either one in years. Let's see, profitable rare truck with a BIGGER turbo engine than the GN or easy-to-find and bottom of the market Legacy turbo you could find whenever you want one again? I love these cars, but fun and a possible $5k profit over money you'll never see a return on? I'd do both and go for the Legacy once the Typhoon's sold.
