in the suicide lane. Corner light=shattered, fender=bent up, bumper=scratched. Rest of the car=okay. More when I'm sober.

Sounds to me like you're going to need to head off to a body shop...when you're sober of course.

Hope you were sober when it happened. I don't spend a whole lot of time on this board, but from what I gather, you don't get sober very often.
Doing my part to keep liquor off our roads.

Geez.....Laurel is being made out to be an alcoholic.
She's far from that....just to set the record straight.

But, she always mentions it. And in the school of law, we call that letting the witness open the door. Now we as the lawyer are just walking through it.

dude, you're in high school
lighten up a bit guys, I'd want to have a few after getting hit late at night, etc
to make the post actually about the thread, I've had a few 'love taps' of the angry variety, corner lights suck big time, I had to drive around for a while with package sealing tape over one and the other was filled with water and dirt
after seeing the fenders come off Matt's car (wasn't that fun?) I think that's not too difficult a replacement, my bumper has unfortunately been bent down a bit and the tabs that hold the grill in don't line up anymore so the car looks a bit funny, good luck with fixing it Laurel

You guys are too damn sensitive. I was just pointing at the way it was worded. I love drinking, and I love driving even more, but I hate when the two mix. Like I said, just my $.02.
I did neglect to include my condolences to you, Laurel. I'm sure you have more than enough ability to get your Legacy back on the road. Good luck!

No kidding. I wrecked my Nissan 240 back in June. Accident at 1PM, had front end taken off by 230, spent the next 2 hours on Craigslist and NWN and had all my parts locked in by 6. What's up Laurel?
Oh, AWDADDICT bought my parts SS if you need anything, talk to him, he's a great guy and I'm sure he'll hook you up with whatever you need. First thing I would do is a '91 front end conversion, no time like the present

The car's drivable and I've been gone since early christmas eve morning.
Thanks for the alcoholic comments, I appreciate them greatly. I was completely sober as I was taking my lunch at work. I had a coworker in the car. I never have and never will even consider getting behind the wheel after consuming any amount of alcohol. I may like to enjoy a few cocktails every now and again, but I'm not a moron.
I was on a very busy road(highway 99 for you seattlites) and wanted to turn left into taco time. There's a car about 40 feet up in the center turn lane, and I think nothing of it, as my turn's in about 10-15 feet, and they've been in the turn lane for a while. Well, I get into the lane, and they keep going. Now I, doing the logical thing when I see a car in the same lane coming at me rather quickly, and not having time/space to get back into traffic stop the car. He apparently didn't feel that that was the logical thing to do and kept going. At the last minute he saw that I was there and slammed on the brakes. I just had to sit there and watch as some fucktard in an already wrecked pos slides into the freshly repaired front end(literally painted less than a year ago) of my poor car. He hits, then backs up a few feet and I get out of my car. I walk up to his window and say "Thanks man, I appreciate it." He replies with "Sorry." He then gets out of his car and before even checking damage to his own vehicle(which is far more than damage to mine) proceeds to walk back to his trunk and get a disposable camera out of a grocery bag. I walk back there with him and ask him if he'd like to call the police, or just acknowledge that this is an at fault accident and give me his insurance information. He says "I don't think it's my fault." so I'm like "WTF, how is it not your fault? My car was stopped when YOU ran into ME." So he starts taking photos(funny enough, only of my car) and a woman pulls up in a fairly new audi. Note that this is probably less than 3 minutes after the accident happened. Apparently she knows him, and waited as he took photos and later helped him take my insurance and drivers license information. I call the police, but they're busy and tell me to get insurance information and drivers license numbers. So, I stand outside in the rain as this moron who can hardly tie his own shoes, and definitely cannot drive properly tries to write down my insurance and drivers license information. He's sitting there staring at my insurance sheet(with the car make and model on it) him: "what model is this" me:"a legacy" ...stares at the side and then the grille with the emblem on it confused.... me:"it's a subaru"(note that the seattle area has more legacies per capita than almost any other area in the world) Even with this woman helping him, it took him 10 minutes longer for him to write my information down than it took me to write his down.
I feel like it was a setup, he ran into me and immediately grabbed a camera, then a couple minutes later his lady friend showed up. I made it clear when I spoke to my insurance that night that she showed up AFTER the accident, and luckily I also had a passenger. He also made me late going back to work.
The thing that I'm most angry about is that the "touring wagon LE" badge that sits right over the trim on the fender isn't in production anymore, so I'm going to lose mine. This is thoroughly frustrating.

91 front end conversion because a corner light and fender need to be replaced? Yeah, that's a great idea. Lose the optics of my headlights too.

Well, the '91 does have a better looking front end.

and replacing my front end with a 91 front end would require the ENTIRE front end be repainted(which happened less than a year ago) likely at least some body work be done, and I would lose valuable optics.

Actually, it's a fact. I looked it up in my Encyclopedia Brittanica.
This whole "front end conversion" idea was supposed to be fun, but now it's ruined

Can someone post up pics of each? I would love to see the difference between the 2 front ends.
Sorry if this is OT.

I wouldn't put it past Frank to have one...I bet he does...or I bet he can find one.
It does smell of setup though. You might have caught people committing insurance fraud...
