auto: 94 Legacy GT wagon
tranny: 4EAT AWD
mileage: 210,00
circumstance: moderate left hand turns at speed
noise: as subject says - only occasional read - not every time
feeling: can be felt under foot and in steering wheel
Guess: right front wheel bearing, CV or DOJ?
Any other suspects?

I would be more inclined towards the CV if you can feel it through the wheel and pedal. A CV will usually act up if you turn first (at rest) and then accelerate. My experience with wheels bearings is that they usually make noise before you can feel them.

When the RF Cv failed it was with some clicking on a modest left turn.
It deteriorated quckly with left and right pulls on the steering wheel that
were most impressove.
Barely made it home at v. slow speed through residential streets

Thanks for the replies guys
I have had CV failures on earlier Subes and the noise
is repetitious - clack clack clack....
This noise is almost a one shot ---> grrrrrunch grinchhh
When accelerating and turning I can not make it happen.
Can't pin point it, sure hope the diff is not responsible.
Going to yank the wheels and have a grope at the culprits

Front endlinks? Control arm bushings? Front swaybar bushings, maybe front swaybar hitting the crossmember??
