Well people, I have been able to avoid getting an inspection sticker for about 8 years or so now. I've been pulled over in both my cars and given some bs excuse for why I dont have a sticker and the cops let me go and just told me to get it done soon. I was pulled over the other day for speeding (83 in a 55) and the cop gave me a ticket for speeding and whats called a 5 day tag for the sticker (5 concecutive days from ticket to get it inspected). So I spent the day trying to get the damn car inspected. No body would do it. You need to be very careful when getting an inspection here. Some places go through the car and try to make some money by saying you need new breaks or what have you. Then they will fail you and if you dont get this stuff replaced, you lose your regristation in 30 days. I swear I am becoming more and more an anarchest. So, I found a place in a shady part of town that would do it got it inspected with no probs and it cost me 47 dollars for a 2 year tag. They turned out to be really nice and it was quick so I gave the guy an extra 20 and told him to buy the guys lunch with it.

When I lived in NY there was a shop that would give you your sticker for the price of the inspeaction plus 20. I had my entire exhaust held up with coat hangers and my horn didn't work.
