10" at intake manifold

my ej22t is only pulling 10" at the intake. I went through and replaced every bit of vacuum hose on the engine and I still get 10". Does anyone have an idea of whats going on.

Is it idling roughly? It's hard for me to imagine an engine idling smoothly and pulling only 10 inHg of vacuum. If it's not idling right, the cause could be something else, and the low vacuum could be a symptom of that.

It idles high like around 1200 and sometimes it will drop down to under 1000 like 750ish but it is smouth. I still get 9psi at full throttle and I just installed a S-AFC but my vacuum problems exsisted before this installation. I have replaced the Maf, IAC, and all vacuum lines.

Intake manifold gaskets?

Oh, hm. It actually sounds like you're just getting too much air past the throttle body.

Maybe the throttle stop screw is misadjusted, or a throttle cable is misadjusted. Try unclipping both throttle cables and see if the problem goes away. If not, you may have to swap to a known-good throttle body or try monkeying with the throttle stop screw.

Vikash makes an excellent point.

Perhaps this is the cause of your myriad of engine codes??

Just a wild ass guess.....but are you sure your gauge is correct?

I used a different gauge and got the same result. The adjustment screw could be the cause because when I bought the car it was in the all the way out position. How do I set it? I used it to bring the Idle down but the ecu then adjust or some thing and the idle goes back up after a while.

That damn screw can really screw you.....I know....I chased a high idle problem for weeks until I found that damn thing.

Unless you have a select monitor or laptop to use vikash's scan tool, my suggestion to you is to screw the fucker all the way down. If it doesn't idle well enough, back it off slightly.

If you have a laptop, keep screwing the screw down until the IAC valve duty % is within the specified range: 25-40%

You can find more ranges here

Mine idle's around 10in, not sure if its caused by the delta cams or by a leak somewhere. Did you check to make sure the IAC hose doesn't have a crack in it? Or the break booster line?

Yeah I replaced my iac and hoses cause it did have a crack but still only 10". I am going to mess with the screw this afternoon so I will post the findings.

Well what I did was cycle the screw down until 750rpms but this did not change my vacuum at all. It stayed at 10" solid. could this come from my mug?

I really doubt it.

What did your vaccuum read before at idle? Has it ever read more than 10 in Hg?

Or is your gauge calibrated in some other units?

Gauge is in inches. I use to run between 15" and 19". When I down shifted I would run more. Now it stops right at 10".
