I see most don't allow jacks... So then how do you remove a engine?

they dont allow jacks? I have watched a guy pull a honda engine at a PnP, he brought his own cherry picker in. the yard may have one for you to use, I dunno.

It depends on the particular yard.

Some of them have a forklift that they'll use to pull an engine. You undo everything, and then call them over to lift the engine out for you and take it to your car.

Others have engine cranes you can borrow or rent from them.

If it's a really ghetto yard, you may have to do something really ghetto yourself, like lay a bunch of tires down under the engine and unbolt the crossmember from the chassis, letting the engine fall onto the tires. You could kill yourself, but I know at least one person who's done it this way.

All the ones by me will pull it for you. You get it ready, they come over with a fork lift, and yank it out.

One particular one, as I hear from VRG3, requests you strap up the motor with the seatbelts from the car. Then they just hook the seatbelts with the fork lift and pull that sucker out of there and bring it to your car.

I know finding a Legacy Turbo is so rare and If I do find one, I better go play the lottery the same day lol.

I was told of a U-pull place not too far from me but I have my doubts that it's not that that big.

If it's gotta come out, it's comin out!

I was talking to a few Taurus SHO guys (specifically Gen3 guys) about this kind of thing.

They have it espically interesting because the engine cannot be pulled from the top. So to remove the sacred V8, the junkyard simply skewers the side of the car any yanks the body free the motor. V8SHO guys make sure to warn u-pullers to get interior bits they want BEFORE asking to have the engine removed.
