Hi, first of all I've already look at the Sticky for all the suspension but I don't understand a shit about it so here's my question, Can I use 2002 WRX coilsprings on my 98 Legacy Wagon ? Without any modifications ?

Thank you

Jo

I have a 98 legacy wagon and I installed STi Coil springs. I can tell you that the legacy struts, top hats and mounts will not fit the STi springs.

You will need the entire set up. Springs struts tops and mounts. Here are some pics.

First: the diameter of the STi coil springs is smaller than the stock legacy and the top hats won't sit properly.

Second: the stock Sti strut mounts and lecacy mounts are identical.

My advice is for you to get the entire WRX set up......Struts mounts and tops.

BTW this is a 89-94 legacy specific Forum. Your car is different and although lots of these cars share similarities the 95 and up had many changes.

You might check the spring rates for each car and then decide if you want to go stiffer or softer.

Ok so the STI coil arent the same as mine, but is it the same thing for the WRX coils ? Because i'm not looking to put OEM WRX coils, I want to put lowered one, and I can have a deal on some 2002 Whiteline springs ... I saw someone on Cardomain that has the same car exept its a 1996 and He has some Perrin WRX springs !
