oooh fun Laurel, gotta love the stance when you're holding the hunting rifle and shotgun
The other day few guys and I went out and put a few rounds through an AK47, AR15, and SKS. We had a guy who had never shot before in his life so I let him crank a few rounds in my semi .22 before he tried out the AK, he had fun to say the least.

I could have swore some of those weapons there are illegal to possess without a special license....

whoa you are an expert on WA gun laws?

man, the shotgun kept pushing me back a couple steps every time I shot it, so I tried to counteract that. Then wit the .22, it seemed almost natural. After the first clip in the 22, I was hitting the target 9/10 times

In WA, no. The AR-15 is semi-auto (not full) and the .50 cal is outlawed in CA, but in WA it's perfectly fine.

If you pay a two hundred dollar tax you can actually own a full auto, there is some red tape you have to go through but is legal. Check you state gun laws and always buy from a licensed dealer.

That's a pimp .50 cal.
Even though they are legal in washington, you're probably lucky you didn't get pulled over while driving. Officers seem to get pretty nervous when there is a gun in the car, let alone 7 or so.

... And one that can fire a round through their car lengthwise!

and I could have sworn that they are legal, except for the .50, not entirely sure on that one
just so you know since you're a fellow PA resident, you can own just about anything here as long as it's not auto, sawn off, or qualifies as artillery, oh and pistols if you're under 21

especially with our wonderful ban on assualt weapons lifted... are they necessary? nah, but are they fun? hells yes

There is more involved to obtaining a full auto weapons permit than just paying money. You go through an extensive (I mean extensive!!) background check, and are required to take a course in the use of the weapon iirc. If you have any type of violation or conviction on your record you will be denied the permit.

Those are some awesome guns. I miss mine. My dad thinks having guns at college in Los Angeles would be a bad idea for some reason.

I was mostly concerned about the .50...since guns that use those are not considered "Anti-Personnel" weapons.
My neighbor has *a lot of guns. I think he even has an auto or two *snicker*. I always thought though that having guns like that M-16 up there was illegal...then again with the assault weapons ban lifted...

Actually I think an AR-15 was legal prior to the end of the ban, there were limitations on the features of the weapon to allow it to sneak under the classification of an "assualt weapon."

Nice pics!!
I'm envious.....it brought back memories when some friends and I took a drive up the mountain loop highway past granite falls to detonate some "homemade" explosive devices.
