Hey guys, my dad recently swapped out my stock 91' legacy turbo tranny for a jdm 92' liberty rs tranny. In doing so the rear diff binds. My car came with a 3.90 rear diff with viscuous limited slip. I have heard that I can just swap out my stock rear diff with a 4:11 to match the jdm tranny. I really want to have limited slip in my 4:11. Are there any USDM rear diffs that are limited slip and 4:11? any input really helps, thanks, devan

I had started a thread on building 4.11 LSD's but it pretty much died. once I have the time I will get an LSD and a 4.11 and try to make it work.

There's a guy on the SVX boards that builds LSD's. It would cost 250. But, there are some stock 4.11 LSD's...they were an option on 91 SS's.

the 91-92 SS's were the only usdm legacy turbo's to have a 3:90 LSD rear diff. they didn't have 4:11 at that time in the U.S.

The 2000+ 2.5RS and Legacy GT should have a 4.11 rear LSD that would work. There are also some Outback and Forester models, but they might be 4.44. Not sure about halfshafts or anything, but it's something to look into.

I picked up a couple more 4.11 LSD's if anyone is interested. Not cheap though, dscoobydoo knows what I pay!
