I was doing a tire rotation today. I came to the wheel which I just had the wheel bearing the replaced on and found the nuts incredibly tight. So, I sprayed on some WD-40 and voila they came off. It even surprised me. So, take that all you nay-sayers about WD-40 being nothing but water :P.

One of these helped too:

As a happy coincidence, WD-40 does work as a penetrating lubricant, but there are soooo many better purpose-made choices, like Liquid Wrench, PB Blaster, and Kroil.

In any case, be sure to clean the WD-40 off before putting the wheel back on!

Who said WD-40 was nothing but water? WD-40 is actually a very effective water displacer.
