Yeah, so I finally get the EJ22t w/ DOHC back together(Ill make a post with some pics soon)
I start cranking it over to get oil up in there. Im getting about 80-90 psi of oil pressure w/out the engine running. With a mechanical gauge.
So I think, well maybe the gauge is messed up. Nope. Tried a different one.
So I plug the fuse in and Start up the freshly rebuilt engine.
The oil pressure gauge pegs over a 100 psi at about 1500rpm.

So I shut it off quickly(side point, everything else sounded good :-D)
Long story slightly less long.... I pull the pressure relief spring and plunger out, and find a little washer in there thats deffinetly out of place. So I Put it back together and my oil pressure is about 80-90 w/ cold oil at about 1500rpm. Pretty norm.

So the moral, pull the oil pump pressure relief valve apart and check for foriegn objects before you assemble the engine :-)

Pretty wierd huh?
