Hello you all!

I'm a Legacy driver from the Netherlands. In our country normally we introduce ourselves before we start posting. I think I should do the same thing here! ;-)

My car is a Subaru Legacy 2.2 GX 4WD (MY92) :D

I bought the car for 850 euro. Overhere that is very cheap! I replaced the entire brakesystem, the timingbelt and all the fluids. In the meantime I installed 2 leather seats and leather doorpanels. I don't know how it's here, but these seats came from Germany because they were never for sale in Holland.

Only, I couldn't find a backseat...

I allready found a lot of usefull information on this forum and I hope to learn a lot more!
If you have questions, just ask! :-)

And excuse me for possible mistakes in my English. I'm not used to type and speak a lot of English :smt039

Welcome! It's always great to see owners from overseas. :D

Very nice Legacy! Looks very clean. Those leather seats look nice.

So, are all cars in the Netherlands LHD?

very nice car! have you made any other modifications?

Thank you!
I do the best I can with my English and try to keep it simple :-D

Yes, all the cars in the Netherlands are LHD. A view people buy cars from the UK or Japan. Some cars are not for sale in Holland, so that's why they go shopping in those countries. In a case like that, you will have a RHD, but I think it's very strange sitting on the "wrong" side of the car :-D

The wheels under my car were allready there when I bought it. Personaly it's not my taste, so they are off now. And also for sale. They were very damaged and have an offset of 35. Standard is 53. It drives like hell
But, for your information. Those are Prince wheels 15".

At the moment my car is on the 14" steel rims with wintertires. When the temperature rises I can finaly put my new rims on. 16" standard Impreza wheels :D I can't wait.

On the pictures, my car looks clean, but in real, the paint is really bad. Some idiot screwed the hood. For the future I planned a totall respray, but first I will finish my study.

Nope, not yet.
But, I really love this car and hope that in the future I can put in a 2.5L turbo engine with 6-speed gearbox. 375-400hp shouldn't be a problem then.
If possible, I also want the DCCD system, but with the CANbus electronics this can give problems :(

Howdy "neighbour"; nice to see another European...

about headlights:
US Legacy 1st gen have plastic headlight covers (lens); since plastic gets yellow over the years, visibility gets worse...
They're trying every way they know to make plastic clear again (polishing,...), some of them buy JDM hadlights (which are not perfect because they are RHD - so beam is not right...);
the perfect solution for them are EDM glass headlights - glass lens, beam is right,...

I curently have one set to sell, problem is in Paypal account (PayPal Send Only account).

Hi! Indeed nice to see another european! :D

I read about the headlights before. I was wondering why my headlights were still clear :-D On the outside, they look very similar.

I think I can get few headlight pretty easely, but sending and paying is a problem indeed. I'm not very familiar with sending parts to america...
I also think that these headlights aren't cheap. At least, not in my country. I think about 150 euroos. Just for de units... I will ask one off these days!

Nice; clean car, clean street :-)
The car seems to be in perfect shape; how many km does the car have?
Your fuel consumption? (mine is 11,3l/100km; Legacy 2.2 GX, wagon, 1990, 270.000km)

The car had 116.300km when I bought it (June 2005) At the moment it's 126.100km :-)
Very low mileage!

Technically the car is in perfect shap, but the outside is very bad. You can't see it on the pictures... That's why I want a totall respray in the future.

My fuel consumption is between 8.6l/100km and 11.1l/100km. Usually is around 9.3l/100km.

Is yours an automatic? Mine is manual, maybe that makes the big difference?

I know a guy with a 2.0 turbo wagon and he normally uses 9.1l/100km!

EDIT: I always put petrol with RON95 in! We only have 95 and 98.
I'm also pretty happy with this consumption, because the petrol is $%^&* expansive overhere!

Welcome Boxer.

I think quite a few people here would definitely be interested in the glass headlights. Myself included. It might be worth your while to set up something, possibly a group buy, if you European fellows could get a few sets. I wonder what the cost from the dealer would be.
