its pretty doable. Ive been looking into it. cant say I totally understand, but it seems simple enough and there are several ej20g's running on MSnS+E and MSII, mostly in kit cars and rails. maybe a few in subarus.
easiest way to do the ignition is EDIS with the 36-1 wheel on your AC pulley. the subaru TPS, CTS, and stock crank angle VR sensor will work but you have to relocate it to the 36-1 wheel. you can adapt a stepper motor Jeep IAC, and use the MS specific MAP sensor.
there is some work being done now to decode the subaru crank trigger wheel for ignition, but it is way beyond my understanding.

If it could be done with the stock crank trigger wheel, then I'd probably consider it.

yes, that would simplify the install quite a bit. It IS possible, just uses quite a bit different skills than machining off the AC pulley and bolting on a 36-1.

Yeah...because pushrods suck...There is no way around that
As far as nitrous goes, I think it is the "easy way out" to make power, and seems really ghetto...having to refill your power adder...I don't have to refill my turbo
The only purpose I see for it is cooling down the intercooler...

Nitrous are fine (read: respectable) in:
Junker dragsters that you dont care about
Already highly-tuned cars. Replacement for lack of displacement
If you're doing it INSTEAD of doing real work on the car, then its just lame, imo.

why? it allows power on demand and you can keep a nice calm motor for the rest of the time. sure there are a lot of ghetto setups but who cares? It is what it is. a cheap way to get power on demand and pretty safe if done right. I'll probably get some in the future just for fun.

People give antilag way more respect than nitrous, but nitrous is actually better for your car

I am going to reinstall the NO2 this year now that I have the SMT6 to pull timing. I'll try running a 40 shot with 8 psi of boost. Should easily put me in the mid-13s. Of course I have said that before!

NO2 looks suspiciously like "NOS" and therefore must be wrong
NAWWWWWSS!!!
I also don't like the idea of being "on the bottle"... you'd have to be way more selective about when to dole it out, whereas with a turbo you can use it whenever the hell you want with the readily-available pump gas in your tank (unless you tune for race gas, which has the same drawbacks IMO).
Although, once I've gotten to the safe limits of my turbo's output, having nitrous ready to inject before the intercooler might be fun and useful. But I'm sure I'd quickly get used to it and be unsatisfied all the time with just the turbo. It's a vicious cycle.
