How much oil? Which intake pieces?

Chances are it was just collecting from all the overboosting you were doing. Oil does collect in the intake because of the PCV system, and that happens more when boost pressure is higher.

Wow, this is the second thread in as many days where someone is freaking out about oil in their intake tract. Maybe there should be a sticky explaining that it is normal.

It's normal, because of the PCV system, to have oil in the intake. The more boost you run, the more oil you'll have. My 16G causes a crap load of oil to get into my intake plumbing.

When I blew my other motor, the amount of oil I was getting in the intake became extremely ridiculous. I could poor the oil out of everything and the crank case pressure was so high that it was causing oil to sqeeze out of everything. Even my MBC lines were blowing oil. It was really obvious that something was wrong.

Everythings coated in it pretty well, from the 90 out of the turbo to the MAF.

I have literally pools of standing oil in my intake track. Also, Blackbart shipped me a Saab intercooler he pulled from the junkyard, and a quart of oil must have poured out of it.

I say don't fix it if it ain't broke. It's making boost, right?

Still making boost....i have a slight tapping from driver side of the engine, dunno what the fuck that is. :( prolly not related.

Tapping could be your lifters. They tend to tap when they get some air in them. Since the valve covers are off, you could bleed them.

The valve covers "were" off. Is the noise a sign of bad things to come....or just annoying?

It tends to happen. Not much bad about it except annoying. You might consider bleeding them when you get a chance.
