New to the board.

Thought it might be polite to introduce myself and give some background. Up untill about a month ago, I was working on a 1st gen neon RT with a NA 2.4L swap including all of the basic boltons and electronics. Car was a blast but only two door (I just had a baby) and not the most reliable (had to fix somthing every other week). So the time came to sell my baby (the car) and look for somthin new with 4drs. I never in my wildest dreams thought I would pick up a piece of WRC history! I came across this insane deal on a local import forum and after a couple of weeks of phone tag I finally got to take a look at the beauty I now posess (sp?). Needless to say I offered cash on the spot and picked up a white 92 TLeg with just over 200k (with a rebuild at 110k) and only some very minor issues that you would expect from a car its age. My plans for now are to get it 100% OE. As for the future, Im torne. I would love to do an STI conversion but the singular uniqueness of the car leaves me hesitant to change a thing. Anyway, I look forward to all the knowledge and experience you all have to share and I appreciate being accepted as a member of your very unique and exciting club.

NO! DON'T DO AN STI CONVERSION!

The motor in the Tleg is the best motor subaru ever made! It can take so much boost on stock internals, it's insane. much better platform than the EJ257.

That said, welcome :)

Congrats on your new purchase, you now possess one of the most sought-after engine blocks in the Subaru world.

I'd say start with the sticky posts at the top of each forum, spend some time reading through those.

...Most overengineered vehicle ever. Gotta love it. :-D

Welcome to the board! I think an "Introduction" post is a good thing to do!

I think you'll find there is a lot of information on this board, and a good group of people that will help you with whatever wild things you may think up. No idea is too crazy to at least be discussed.

You'll also notice that we are on a pretty casual first name basis. Start reading, get some questions and post in the right forums! We'll all be happy to help!

Welcome! Glad you chose the Scooby.

As for keeping the "singular uniqueness", whatever you do to it will be unique in its own way. I was working on the coffee mug mod (one of the more popular mods here) for my car and everyone I knew (outside this forum) thought it was the wierdest, coolest thing they've ever seen. Do whatever suits you. That's true uniqueness.
