I have heard that if I can find a TD-05 16G, it would work better than a vf-39 or vf-34 on my 2.0L ej20g. Is that true? What turbo would work best on a ej20g? I'm getting ready to buy parts so I can install them on my car this summer when I swap a ej20G into my 91' SS. thanks guys, Devan

Devan, don't bother with a TD05...I think we need to put a Holset on your car!!! Since its auto and gonna be a dragrace machine, an HY30 would kick some major ass!!

those turbo's are for only dsm's, the 16g's for Subaru's are a little more expensive.

so why are u swappin in an ej20g into ur SS? is ur ej22t motor shot? if u want to run a lot of boost u might as well stick that head and intake manifold off of the ej20g onto ur ej22t. run tons of boost and dont forget fuel!

The EJ20G is actually a trifle stronger than the EJ22T...This is because it is slightly more resistant to flex around the main bearing journals due to larger crank shufflepins :smt028

ehh i dunno. i always heard the 22t to be the strongest block subaru ever made. from performance shops and everything too. id say they are pretty closely matched. but hey .2 liters of extra displacement isnt a bad thing!

There's no replacement for displacement or a closed deck...
