Anybody have a spare knock sensor I could buy? Used is okay, but it must be a redesigned one (with the white connector housing rather than the gray). Thanks.

I am in the same boat. Phil bought one really cheap used near Matt's house.... 22060AA031 is the correct part number, I do believe.

Yes, that is the part number.
Yeah, Williamsport Auto is the name of that place I think. Such a cool shop.
But I'd like to get this sensor before the Feed 'n' Speed if that's at all possible.

I paid $10 for it there. They had them new for like $56 or some nonsense like that.
V- I've got a spare old sensor that I don't think is cracked.
Maybe give Matt or Scott or Sam (the corsair Sam) a call and see if one of them can pick up and ship you one from Williamsport Auto the next time they are in that area.

The spare old one is the original type though, right?
I was thinking of asking someone near Williamsport, but I'd rather not trouble anybody.

I have one that works but it is the grey connector. Also the connector is a little broken. I replaced it trying to solve another problem. Still plugs in fine though.

Thanks, Greg, but I'm really looking for a white-connector one.

I'll look through my sensor box tonight. I know usually I can be a bit slow to respond, but have a laundry list of parts people need and am going digging in teh ghetto tonight...

V - Yea, it's a grey connector one. I'd gank it off the 91 for you. It should be OK, maybe to tide you over if yours is cracked. FOC too

Thanks, Matt!
I really appreciate the offer, Phil, but I'm okay with just waiting so that I only have to do the knock sensor swap once. Thanks though!

I need a redesigned knock sensor, too. If anyone in Williamsport is willing to buy some and ship them out to all of us who need one, I'd like to be included. What would the total cost come out to $10 for the sensor, $6.95 to ship, plus a little extra as gratis for whomever does it for us?

Well, the price wouldn't necessarily be the same as it was that day...
But shipping would be $3.85 for a flat-rate Priority Mail envelope.

Oh, that may not be so good, then, possibly.

But that is sweet--I didn't know those $3.85 flat-rate envelopes existed.

Sorry,
I can't be off help. I have 2 without cracks, but they are both grey tipped...

Hmm, I'd love to help you out V but I'm not sure when I'll have time to get up to W.A. (my car's fubared). I'm also unsure if they'll have any white connector, used sensors, or not.
Next time I'm up I'll check though, assuming you're still looking at that point.

Yeah, I wouldn't want to trouble you, especially given the uncertainty and your own car troubles. Thanks though; it looks like I will still need one by the next time you're by there.
Where are you going to get your replacement control arm from?

I already replaced the control arm and ball joint. I got the the control arm from W. A.. My tires are tore up so bad that it isn't safe to drive and I need to find two new wrx rims.
My steering is all screwed up, so I'm sure I need an alignment. Once I replace the wheels and get it aligned I can asses what else might be wrong.
Scott was letting me use his black SS until I was able to get Subarina back in shape but he needed his car back because he totalled the '93.

He's alright but he said the car is totalled. I'll let him explain that though.

Yeah, he posted about the accident.
Jeez.

It sucks, that was a damn nice car.
At least he's ok though.
