Pretty OK weekend

I had to work Saturday, but I got to check out a turbo'd Legacy GT Limited afterwards. One of the locals picked it up a couple days ago and I stopped in just as he was finishing up a head gasket replacement, so I got to go for the inaugural run.
Too bad it's an auto, but cool none the less.
So this morning I got up bright and early (9:00am is early for me on a Sunday!) and ran out to where my buddies Supra is in storage. He is on an 18 month deployment in the National Guard so I go out every couple weeks to start it to keep it alive, but today I decided to take it for a spin around the block since it's so nice out. Realize that this "storage" is on dirt roads, and this Supra is the one with a Mopar 360 sticking out of the hood. Also my first time behind the wheel beyond second gear, which is actually used as first gear 'cuase it's a truck four speed with a granny first. Anyway, I had a blast!
After that I headed for the shop to grab my bike and went cruising for a while. It got up to about 40 degrees but super windy so I froze my ass off. Went back to the shop and fabbed up a license plate bracket for it (to replace those zip-ties
). I also stripped the black paint of the aluminium gas cap and polished it up. Looks pretty good, but needs some final polishing. All in all, this is more fun than I have been having lately, so I'm happy.
