That '98 GT 5 spd is cable-operated clutch, correct?

Can be used with cable or hydraulic.. Whatever you have will work unless it's a turbo clutch set up.. :D

It's a turbo set up.

Got any pics of the STi pedals? I assume they'll work with a legacy turbo setup.:D

Hi 206er,

If you send me your email addy, I can shoot you over some pics..

Sounds like that tranny won't work unless you get the NA clutch set up and move the slave.

At any rate, hope to hear from you later.

will the OB or impreza strut assemblies work on my 91 AWD wagon?

if so are they in great shape?

The Impreza Struts will work for sure.

pretty sure Outback struts have a different bolt pattern on the rears that's a little bigger. If you aren't afraid to drill a few holes, they'll work.

Are you driving on and off road, or just on road? If you are after better clearance, you'll get a couple more inches with the OB struts on..

I take my wagon out on some gnarly dirt roads when I have time, so extra clearance would be awesome! are the original holes strenghtened that I would not have by drilling them myself? Has anybody done this before?

how many miles are on these, what kind of off roading have they seen? will my tophats work, or will OB tophats work on my wagon?

Thanks

The fronts will bolt right in to the stock holes. The rears are the ones I think you may have to redrill.

Yes, people have done this before, and it's worked fine. Its usually better to get the entire OB set up than go with a lift spring which will effect your down travel.

You can run a taller tire than stock too, also helping the clearance. One of my favorite Subies was a '97 OB that I had lifted, Rear LSD, skid plates f/r, in addition to a long list of other stuff.. You could drive that car where only Jeeps and trucks could go. :D
