I'm going to be doing the majority of my build starting in a month or two. I dont have a garage here though, and my tools are pretty limited.

I could take it to a local shop, but then it wouldnt really be MY project, yanno?

I will of course compensate you for time spent, food and board

Im NOT rebuilding the engine for the new pistons at this point, Im going to give it to a shop for that.

This is what I will be doing:
Entire exhaust from the crosspipe back to the tailpipe, including STi turbo
RS2.5 SOHC heads + manifold
550CC injectors
Autronic SMC ecu
MSD MIS2 ignition
Decent sized front mount
Hotbits struts (I may get the shop to do this, depending on the situation)
Intake
5MT+rear diff swap from forester (4.44 ratio)
Possibly alcohol/water injection

If theres anyone in BC who can help me out, that'd be ideal, but I'd be prepared to drive down to the Seattle area as well.

If you would wait till the summertime I might go up there to help you, and make a little trip to whistler. I know the pulling and rebuilding stuff, EM not so much. I'd advise you to buy a cheap engine crane for $160 or whatever the harbor freights up there have em for, then sell it when youre done. jack stands are like $30 for 2. a cheapo jack is like 30. also just buy some tools, a 3/8 drive metric set, 1/2 drive metric set, ratchets and extensions, breaker bar, cheap beam type torque wrench, metric box wrench set. you might as well, since you will invariably be using them again. some cheapies will work fine, get a breaker bar to save the ratchets and youll be ok. to be honest Im not sure what all that will cost in the cheap stuff.
as long as you have a flat, concrete driveway you can do anything. even the street if no one will hassle you. Ive seen engines being pulled on the street. if not concrete, a sheet or 2 of plywood works. being level helps a lot.

The car rolls in neutral, the only levelish point, I wouldnt be able to leave the car, due to my parents needing to come and go.

I wonder if I could rent out space in a storage bay or something to do it...
