cam retainer and stupid stuff

what is the end play of the cam on a sohc 22t (right side)?
also call me dumb but is there anything located in between the cam retainer( has the coolant and oil return for the turbo) and the cam? i just have this feeling i lost something. plus my horrible chilton manual doesnt say.
