Sti sway bar fitment question?

Would a stock take off front and rear sway bar, end links, and mounts from an STi work? Or are Sti's a different width than a legacy? Also would there be a fitment problem in the rear? Would spare tire and exhaust or anything like that be a problem for the path?

Different width for sure. I doubt either would work.

The rear, if it were the same width, would definately need the trunk pounded a bit.

I think it's too wide. If it's free, though, go for it!

Cool thanks. I wasnt sure and didn't want to pass it by in case it might have been able to work.

As Phil said it wont fit. I tried using forester sway bar brackets as they are about 40-50mm taller than normal brackets, and it still didnt fit. I could get the bar on the brackets, but there was so much tension on the bar from it being pressed up against the spare tire well that I couldn't swing the bar up into position for the endlinks. I'm going to try using a spacer of some sort, about 5-10mm thick under the brackets and hopefully that should allow fitment.

I just put on my 04 sti rear sway bar on my 94 legacy turbo sedan. I used the legacy turbo stock endlink mounts and stock legacy turbo endlinks. You have to cut a little section where the bar hits the bottom on the trunk liner once you cut that it fits good. You have to very the load on it to bolt th endlinks up like the right side lowered with the wheels touching the ground to get the left endlink on or the left side lowered to get the right endlink on. I tried the sti endlinks they worked but my car stat really high in the back then when i pulled in the driveway after i took a little ride the rear settled down a little but the sti endlinks bent over the lateral links. So i took that off and put the legacy turbo endlinks on and it works fine. Im gonna do the from sti sway bar next weekend.
