(EJ22t) Coolant Filler and Throttle Body questions...

The Coolant filler resiviour that bolts onto the intake manifold has a couple of broken nipples. Problem is the dealer wants $105 for a new filler and the local junkyards don't seem to have them or know wtf I'm talking about. Is this filler pressurized? I was hoping to maybe use some jbweld and custom make the broken nipples.
Also, has anyone relocated their filler with pictures? I plan on using this WRX intercooler with a Blitz Bov I purchased awhile back, and it seems like it would get in the way. I'm hoping I can turn the throttle body 180° so that the throttle cable isn't in the way. Any suggestions?
Thanks~

yea its got a lil pressure, lol. you can try jb weld, but i think you would have more luck, getting fiber glass resin, with liquid hardner. and some fiberglass soft sheets. and just fiber glass the hell out of the nipples and the whole thing.
as far as relocating it. when i had my wrx intercooler on my leg. i just unbolted the resivour and pushed it off to the side a lil. and it seemed to be just fine. its was kind of a hack job but it did the trick

I bought a plastic plumbing "hose to hose" connector at Home Dep., cut off and sanded smooth on one side, cleaned connector and reservoir surface with carb cleaner, used a ring of JB Weld STICK to mount in place, let sit for about 5 hours and then wack it with a wrench like I did. That should fix it for ya. If your worried about it lookn pretty then just sand down the weld when dry and spray it black!

In case you technical guys are wondering, I wacked it with a wrench because I did not believe in the power of the JB Weld but it held, it held!

You may have saved me $68 bucks

Hope it works, if it does, you're a life saver!
Thanks for the tip,

No problem

I didnt have the $$ either. The plastic "connector" is white with ribs on either nozzle and at the center of the solid piece is a 1/4 or maby 1/8 inch ring (like a washer). Just cut off one of the nozzles and sand the back of the ring smooth. Then rough sand the overflow tank around the hole and clean everything well. Once dry just hold the nozzle in place over the hole (I guess you could use some crazy glue) then press your JB Weld generously around the nozzle. Work it in real good around both the nozzle and ring to ensure that you dont have any gaps and pack it tight. I dont know which one you broke but my main line to the block just crumbled and spewed coolant all over the place

I lost the part number for the plumbing fitting but it was 1/4 to 1/4 hose connector in an orange and clear plastic baggie with a black strip at the top. I may use this to reinforce all of my nipples! Ha ha, I said nipples

I was at PDX this weekend for a Subaru get together. I took pictures of a relocated WRX tank near the boost solenoid and pics of the one on the New legacy turbo. The new legacy turbo one is plastic VS the WRX metal one, but it is smaller and may be easier to relocate on the left side. You might see how much each of these is at the dealer and go from there.

Wow, I think Ill do the 2dollar fix until I can upgrade to a WRX metal one. All great advice, thanks.
