The 4's come siped, so you don't need to get them siped.
I like them on my Forester. They haven't disappointed me yet. They weren't fun at all in the snow.

how much you looking to spend?
and what size?
i think the Nokian WR is the greatest all season ever. but it is a bit more snow and ice oriented and it isnt cheap.
it is the only all season tire that has recieved a sever duty snow rating.
has a pretty stiff sidewall and handles very nice in the dry too.

they were very good for the first few winters.
but after 4 winters the traction on snow and ice went down a lot, even though there was a decent amount of tread left.

Falken Ziex Ze 512 is a good choice for an inexpensive high performance all season. Check out edgeracing.com for good prices for the next couple weeks. 205/50/16 @ $65 each!

I'm not sure if my car will last another 3 winters.
