I'm not feeling the crab-like manifold, but apart from that, very very nice.

RE the amber corner lenses, is that paint or are they just like that? I would like to paint my corner lenses amber.

LOL I thought it looked like a crab as well after I was done. In my own ricey-ness, I was trying to mimic the STi red manifold...didn't turn out like I had hoped hehe. Oh well.

Actually that is a single-spray coat of Tamiya Clear Amber paint, used for car models. What shocked me was that I used only a single layer ON THE OUTSIDE and it's held up in this California rainy weather for over 3 months! That stuff is amazing, so I'd definetly recommend that stuff. It's about 5 bucks a can I believe, but hard to find if you aren't near a hobby shop.

Thanks for the compliments. I'm hoping to source the P1 carbon fiber lip used or cheap, and that should complete the exterior. Suspension will probably be agx/sprint combo since i'm a cheapass. Engine will probably remain close to stock other then the wrx tmic and blitz bov I got for it. Maybe a wrx turbo and injector/pump upgrade but thats it. Just want a clean, simple, and somewhat relyable 4 door

(Unlike my previous Eclipse GSX projects...ugh) Good luck on your project Project_Legacy and keep us posted with some pics

heheh. i will try. if i can get the car in the next week... we will see. i plan on using my ej22t block, rebuild that, and throw on some ej25 dohc heads. so, it wont be done quickly, becuz im gonna take my time on this project this time. basically build up the motor bit by bit, until i wanna drop it in. i rushed too much on my legacy, and it still runs like crap. i love ur ride tho. i want a clean lookin car like that. but first thing's first, i gotta do up the motor!

your car makes me want to run out and buy the 94 standard impreza for sale at a local dealership and replace its FWD ej18 and rear drum brakes w/the drivetrain from my rusty SS.

And what dealership would that be?

if i had the money to buy this car i wouldnt tell you.
it is at nereson's big lot in dilworth. the suzuki place down the street from Muscatell subaru.
red 94 fwd 5spd impreza sedan. unpainted bumpers, crank windows, drum rear brakes, 13" wheels, no passenger side mirror, destroyed drivers seat, and no rust that jumped out at me.
i have no idea what they want for it or if it is even still there. last i saw it was on tuesday.
i have never seen an impreza like this and only one legacy like it.
it would make one hell of a foundation for a rally car.

you can put a AWD drivetrain from a legacy into a FWD impreza? cuz the impreza i was lookin at was FWD.

yes.
you may need to do some modifications.
but i would imagine the job isnt much different than what josh (legacy777) did w/his FWD legacty sedan.
BTW the imp. i was talking about has a crazy asking price of 7,999.00 for a 94 w/78,000 miles on it.
KBB suggests that that car should be about 2400 retail and that is if i give it an excellent rating.

That's a ridiculous price. You'd have a hard time getting an SVX to book at that!
An AWD Legacy drivetrain should fit, though it'd probably need an Impreza driveshaft, which shouldn't be terribly hard to find.

Holy cow that's high!

ahh ic. and yea that price for the impreza is way high. i can find SVX's cheaper than that. the car i was lookin at seems to have sold.

i found another yesterday in a little bit worse condition. his asking price is cheaper tho. hopefully i can get that.

i know, and it has a trashed drivers seat.
when i talked to the salesman over the phone he asked me if i wanted to come look at it. i said not at that price and rattled off all the reasons that is too high of a price and he asked me what price i was willing to pay and i didnt say but i think 2400 would be reasonable.
didnt a standard impreza sedan retal for 16 new or was it even less than that?

I'm pretty sure we got our 93 L for waaaay less than that. Probably more like $12 or $13k.

I can get fwd Imprezas here for well under $2k all day. I've seen SVXs for less than $2k also.
