Keep them to a max width of 800 pixels. If they're larger use thumbnails. I use the windows powertoys image resizer, which lets you quickly resize a lot of pictures from explorer. Upload them to a site like imageshack, and then post them here with vb code. If you hit quote on my original post you'll see how the tags work.

so, i read earlier that the stock t-leg rear swaybar is 18mm. which is normally preferred as a whiteline upgrade, the 20 or the 22mm upgrade. also, if the stock bar is a 18mm, why does whiteline offer another 18mm bar?

Yeah, no point in buying the 18mm bar when a turbo bar can be had for like $50.

I intend to get the 18-22 bar. I think 20-24 might be a bit much without a 22mm front. Even then, I'm not really a fan of huge swaybars. This isn't really the thread for that discussion, though.

I already have a turbo :)

so, the 18-22 mm is the 20mm adjustable? i think im going to pop for that than. ive heard that tribeca front bars swap on, and are a good upgrade. is this true?

Please take those questions to another thread. This one is about attaching a rear swaybar when you don't have one.

Has anyone attempted retrofitting a rear swaybar setup from an outback onto an L wagon? Not sure if the difference in ride height would screw me?

dangit I got a rear sway bar from a '91 parts car. Won't get it done on my 93 L wagon unless I get new rear control arms with the mounting bracket huh. Oh well maybe I'll look for those.

or does someone want this '91 sway bar, all links and the rubber cushions, all bolts good, southern rust-free car.

Just as an addition to the first post, here is another option for adding a rear sway bar to a car that did not originally come with one. It is a Whiteline kit, P/N BSR13Z, which bolts to the trailing arms.

That doesn't look like it works all too well... I'm updating the setup to run a new style bar.

That's very thoughtful of Whiteline. Looking up the documentation the kits seems to come with a sway bar and retails for around $210. Not bad.

I know it looks a little botched, but if you look again and think, it appears more stable and heavy-duty than the stock design. Downside is that it weighs more, and that it might technically reduce ground clearance slightly (I'm going to go look under my car now so I can speculate on that more accurately).

After looking under my car I'm sure that there are no other concerns, and that it's so close to the wheel that a technical reduction in ground clearance really doesn't mean anything.

I kind of like that design. The nice thing is that it attaches to the spindle instead of the lateral link, so it doesn't put an extra bending load and so put less stress the lateral links less. The lateral links do bend occasionally and when they do it's right where the endlink mounting tabs are.

The wrc cars, for example, change the swaybars and endlinks to mount to the strut/spindle instead of the lateral links.

I'd like to see a picture of that^. I do believe that it is stronger than the stock setup, I would like to put cobb or whiteline endlinks for the new style on my car instead.

That said, I'm now going to try to fab up new mounting brackets that attach to the spindle.
