The new Walbro was installed almost a year ago and it has begun to whine.

What is the usual life-span for this item :?:

On all the dsm's that i've owned, all the Walbro's I've install have always whined. On my previous gutted 90 gsx, when the gas was low it would whine so loud, people could hear it outside of the car from a few feet away. These pumps were either 190lph or 255lph pumps, so I'm not sure if the Subarus use anything different. But from my experience, whine is normal on these loud-ass pumps.

A little whining should be normal.

You can hear it from outside the car.

Been going strong for more than a year now.

Oh well---it's better than having to listen to the Wal-Mart Whine

Done two fill ups with gas at $1.28/litre and the whine has stopped.

Must be the high-priced fuel---Oh, how I love cause and effect reasoning
