The character of the TWGN is about to change.
Got the vf34 and appropriate rails and injectors.
Ordered the front AP Racing brake kit with black calipers, and Ferodo 2500 pads(front and rear).
Ordered 40mm DMS springs and shocks. Phil will probably flip on these, but a lengthy review found that there was no other way to meet my requirements.
All should be installed by the end of May and that will conclude major mods.
Other than around town, the car will be used on back roads when white water canoeing and for some track time.

Ugh, DMS sucks. The product is OK, but good lord the customer service sucks. Mark Moore is possibly the worst business man I've ever TRIED to work with. I've got a 13 some page post on Nasioc trying to get my money back after Mark screwed me.
There is definately better product out there, espically for the gross amount of money that they charge for them. H&R and KW to name a few.

Rocket Rally has been using them and is a dealer.
The requirements were standard rate and ride height springs, as well as a manufacturer and dealer who at least knew what would fit a 1993 Turbo Wagon.
Jamie (at Rocket) has had them on his modded STI for a year, with no probs.
My next comment on this will be after install.

Well, I hope you have better luck with them than I had.
I'll never buy another DMS product as long as I live. If the company wasn't full of liars and thieves, I'd consider it.
I don't even trust them through distributors.

My experiences with DMS will prevent me from EVER recomending their products. Period. I'd rather design, and build my own coilover, than use something produced by them.
If someone gave me a set of DMS coilovers. I'd sell them without opening the box.
DMS has the worst customer service of any company I have ever dealt with. That is one of things that make me purchase a product. If the support is there, I'll gladly spend my money. With DMS, the support wasn't there and I am not going to spend my money.
DMS North America, Mark Moore, and Lachute Subaru have the worst business practices in the history of the world.

That may be...but they seem to keep a lot of rallycars on the road...since just about everyone that we rally with uses them...
The only really better ones are the far more expensive inverted Bilsteins.

When a company lies, cheats, and tries for 6 months to steal a customers money, almost resulting in an international law suit, it doesn't matter to me how "good" the product is. It turns into a bad product.

Wow, thats a bummer.
Anyway, hope they work out well. I've never had an issue with the dampeners, but Ive also never had to deal directlly with the company. Cusco takes good care of us.
The 34 should be sweet too. I friggin love that turbo.

Yea, but hey, just one mans story.
We are well taken care of by our preferred suspension companies too.
The VF34 IS a nice turbo. Not as reliable as the VF30, IMO, but still a pretty nice setup.

Can't wait to see it all on.

Right on Dan. I drove an AP 6-piston setup on a WRX. They were amazing. When cold, they stopped like the stock brakes. Pedal feel was great, and the car was surprisingly smooth on cold-braking, even with floating rotors.
We've had good luck with only a few BBK's, and AP is definately one of them. They are pretty much OE quality, right up there with Brembo.

I'd like to see how they feel compared to my RacingBrake setup. People have been giving me shit about mashing my brakes all the time. Since I can't accelerate fast, I stop fast, which is fun, especially when they get a little heat in them. All I can say is I'm REALLY happy with the kit.

The AP 6-piston kit vastly out performs the RB 4-piston kit. But it also uses an up-sized rotor. I didn't really hammer on the AP kit very hard, and the car was having some engine issues preventing it from running properly. But the little bit that I did get on them, I was never unimpressed. I'd put them on my car if I had the bling to do it.
The RB STi kit feels pretty nice. It uses the racing brake caliper, and a 326x30mm rotor (STi rotor).
A friend of mine has the RB 4-pot kit on his WRX, and they FEEL like stock, but just fade less. It's a pretty nice setup and they really balanced out the braking of the car.

Subtle - Which AP kit did you get?

I suppose going from single piston Legacy L brakes to the RB setup makes me feel a little invincable. I've never driven a WRX or Legacy with WRX brakes so I have no way of judging them. It is kinda fun scaring the shit out of people by waiting untill the last second to brake, and still stopping 20+ feet short.
I'd love to go to AP's or Alcons (Prodrive), but I need to keep 16" wheels with the 50 series. I drive way to hard around this town, which has pot holes that swallow whole cars

The details on the front AP Racing kit include ss lines, fluid, 310mm two-piece discs and Ferodo DS 2500 pads.
The 4- pot calipers are black, which will be a nice under statement.
Can't afford to do the rears until January, but the same pads, of course, will be used.
Also, we will have to make sure that the brake proportioning valve is working properly.
The wheels are first gen Forester with Proxes 4 tires 205/55/16

glad to hear good stuff about Pat's rally prep shop.
everything i have seen com out of his shop looks great.
and when it comes to suspenion i trust Pat and his crew. he has used just about every brand of suspension out there and he seems to think the DMS is worth it.
