Yet more electrical oddities.....

Driving home from class just now, and something weird happened: my ABS, AT oil temp, brake, stop lamp and battery lights came on and off a few times simultaneously for no reason.
They were flickering as though it was due to a short or loose connection, buy what connection would operate all those lights at the same time?

Really?
I may have to look into that.

Check the two major plugs going into your fuse block (they are on the bottom of the fuse block). Those two connections could turn all of those lights on and off also.
I know this because this is one of the plugs I last figured out after putting my dash back in.

It was the battery.

It wasn't the battery.
or at least, it wasn't only the battery. I replaced it last weekend, and yesterday the same problem showed up again.
Any particular fuses I should check? What about likely wires?

I had the alternator checked. It looks good, as does the battery.
It only happens when the headlights are on and partial throttle. At WOT, it doesn't seem to do it.
Please, anyone have any ideas? Any particular fuse I should check?

dude it has to be your alternator most likely the brushes are worn and cant handle the load from WOT and having your headlights on

at WOT it's fine, though.
I'll try taking it into an alternator specialty shop and see what they say. The Advance auto test didn't seem all that good......

Okay.
It WAS the alternator.
The autozone and advance auto testers didn't catch the problem. I had it rebuilt by a local shop for under $100, and they did an awesome job of it.

Not sure if mine is the alternator, but this is my battery voltage(Brand new battery): OFF-12.4V ON Running-13.8v ON Running and fans on-13.6v
Here is my problem. When the AC is turned on or the cooling fans turn on, rpm's will bog and bounce between 0 and 800.the car will shake like its going to stall. It will still studder, also, with throttle until 2,000 rpms. The fans are turned off and it will then, cure itself and become a steady idle in ten seconds or less.
I have no idea.

Does anyone have an objection to me starting a new topic? I don't think anyone sees my post.
