Grettings from a new '93 SS owner

Hello all, I recently purchased a '93 silver SS 5 spd with 150K here in Maine. Needless to say it needs a little TLC. It's in decent shape body wise, but nothing that some sandblasting during a rallycross won't cure. Otherwise it has a few issues. I just replaced the rear rotors and pads since the horrific screeching noise had to be taken care of first.

Isues that are pending are:
CEL 22. (Trying to source a new knock sensor)
broken antennae mast (will go the Vikash GM universal fixed antennae)
clean up the headlights (will prolly do the sanding/clearcoat method)
Tonite I got the fuel filler neck problem. I haven't looked at it, but it has all the symptoms.
It needs a general tune. Plugs, wires, PCV . I just did an oil change and replaced the air filter.

Mods since purchased:

Snorkusectomy
'97 legacy GT rims painted gold with michelin energy 205/50/15
red sparco mudflaps

Mods to do in the next month:
I have a mug and all the fittings ready to be put together.
Turbo back exhaust
Boost gauge

I wanted to thanks everyone on this forum that has contributed info. All I had to do was a little searching to run down all of the problems and find a fix. The help has been invaluable, thanks to all.

I crew for a rally team here in Maine. Check us out at www.lastditchracing.net

We will be running Rocky. I'm not coming out for that one but I'll be crewing Maine forest. That car ate a big rock at MFR last year. We have a 2003 WRX now, same colors.

whereabouts from maine are yah? i live in gorham just outside portland, i have two turbo legacies but they both have issues, one is a stock white 92 ss with a blown auto tranny, and the other is a 94 abm ss with a jdm 96 wrx motor with a alot of sti and 2.5 rs parts in it, it currently has the tranny out due to a blown front diff which is soon to be replaced with a quaffie lsd i just picked up. im trying to get either of them on the road so i can autocross again, but my mechanic is sketchy and progress is going at a snails pace.

Welcome.

By the way, Walter's last name is spelled "Röhrl" (I hope that diaeresis shows up correctly).

I'm not usually an asshole about spelling, but Röhrl is an icon and I want to correct you before Laurel has a chance to.

He's misspelled all the time on several websites.

I have a degree in English Lit, so I'm allowed one letter

Try spelling my German Kraut name a couple of times, it's
"Rademacher", That's 10 letters.

I'm ususally the one busting somebody's nuts about attempting to compose a sentence, so you got me on that one, congrats

That's the one

It's pretty rough, looks like it has at least 200K on it not 150k. When I picked it up the oil drain plug was leaking cause it hadn't been tightened, and it looks like it never got a tune with that owner. He didn't have a clue about cars. I got it for $1000. I'm still working on getting the knock sensor installed. Last night I tried to find it and managed to break off a nipple from the coolant tank
fixed that today. I still have a bunch of work to do on it, we have garage days from time to time, we should meet up there.

Rad,

Think you could delete a few of the blank lines in your sig please? Just shorten it up a bit to keep things neat.

Thanks mate!

I'm still not getting you guys, but as long as you are happy, that must be all that matters. I feel like I'm visiting a cult when I post here.
