Has anyone else run across this thing yet? It looks like it might be a pretty damn good solution to the turbo legacies coolant tank / intercooler interference issue. I'd like some more specific dimensions, and details on the inlets/outlets to the coolant tank portion.

It looks like sqc151 is using one:

It looks like a good find. Removing the OEM washerbottle and replacing with that should create quite a bit of room.

That is pretty cool. only $150, too.

I'm going to email them on dimensions and see if they have a detail drawing.

If I get anything I'll post it.

you dont think this thing could make the washer fluid too hot for peole that live in areas where it hits 30 below zero?

would hate to spray hot washer fluid on a frozen windshield.

lol. reminds me of my friend's parents when they threw a bucket of hot water on the frozen windshield of their acura TL

the fluid would prolly freeze befor you could spray it on your windshield lol

I dont know about 30 below zero, but I know that at 5 degrees C, in the rain, water steams off the windsheild when I have the defroster on.

The windshield tends to stay fairly warm.

If you spray your windshield before your engine warms up, no problem. In the winter, I start my car and let it warm up to the point where the defrost has cleared nearly all my windsheild. In that case, I think the windshield would be warm enough to spray.

i guess it wouldnt be a problem. and this thing looks pretty dang cool and isnt much more than a new WRX coolant expansion tank.

I got some additional pictures.

From the pictures, it looks like it's meant to replace the coolant/overflow expansion tank.

If we could get some additional fittings on the tank, I think it could work.

I figure it wouldn't be a problem spraying the windshield.

Isn't there a buick or something like that that heats up the windshield fluid the way it comes fron the factory?

Wait, you're talking about replacing the filler tank with this? But you need a radiator cap fitting.

Hell.... I think you could make one of those if you were good at welding aluminum and could find the rad cap fitting.......

I need to learn to weld...

Baxter sells the coolant fill tops too. thats where I got mine.

Now only $72, not much more than a used WRX tank! This is definitely on my list. Kinda mad now, only ripped out my a/c was to mount my coolant tank there I'm skeptical of the sight line on he coolant side though, completely unnecessary point of failure.

EDIT: wait, is this supposed to be the pressurized fill tank or the overflow bottle? Cause the lack of fittings has me thinking he later, which would be ghey.
