These pics are of the damage to my car when I bounced it off an embankment a few months back.

Geez, that's not right.

Yeah, it's all fixed up....except I still need a new inner fender liner but besides that it's a-ok.

The car looks like this now.

Be glad all that got fubar'd was the control arm.

Yeah, I got real lucky.

In total it was the control arm, ball joint, abs tone sensor, the two wheels, lost inner fender liner, and a minor scrape on the side of my front bumper.

A new control arm and knuckle later and I still have a clunk. I think I need a steering rack.

I toasted my front right wheel like that also back in the day. Make sure the wheel bearing is in good shape, mine was wasted.

My endlink? Do you mean my tie rod end?

Wow Jamal, your control arm look almost identicle to mine.

I'd say your rim faired better though. ;)

Yikes. That's nuts. I think I was talking to Hardy about this at some point -- apparently the control arms are designed to yield that way. Subaru wanted to make sure that an impact too strong for the suspension to deal with would get absorbed before more permanent parts of the car get tweaked.

Good thing a control arm is a fairly easy part to replace.
