so my turbo is being a little funny. if i suddenly get on it it will boost to 17 psi. and stay there with no fuel cut. it will keep fuel. then i will slowly get on the throttle and it boost to 12 and then stay there. if i go ahead and really really slowly get on it on the freeway it will only boost to 9 psi. its almost like i get to pick and choose with my foot what i want my max boost to be. lol. it runs awesome at all psi's
i put my manual boost controller on and i havent calibrated it yet. but its doing the same thing that the stock boost controller did. any ideas?

Bad wastegate actuator possibly?
Im grasping at straws here.

yeah, check the wastegate. sounds like its stuck shut. you should be able to move it by hand but it should be hard. remember it opens towards the firewall.

wastegate is perfect. i checked it. it only has 1000 miles on it. and so does the turbo

hum, well how is the wastegate plumbed? are you using the stock sol valve or do you have it plumbed to the nipple on the turbo?

wastegate is plumbed throught the MBC to the intake manifold

MBC should go to the compressor nipple, not the manifold.

it shouldnt matter. compressor or manifold. its more accurate at the manifold
