If you post a trouble code, you can help people who want to help you by posting what the code means so we don't have to look it up.

23 is a code for the MAF sensor. I think you may need to recheck the installation. Did you follow my suggestions on wiring it under the dash? If you did it that way, the only thing I can think of is that the splice into the +12v wire isn't good.

yea i know i should have posted the title of the code with the code. but i was really pissed for a bunch of different reasons when i did the original post.

but why would the 12 volt input have cause it. it was soldered in. and it was a great solder job. i would like to think i am a electrical master. when it comes to the labor part of it. im not too bad with building and understanding circuts.

Well, you spliced into the MAF sensor's power supply, right? So maybe it's not getting proper power now?

Even if you're very confident in the work, it can't hurt to double-check it. Make sure there aren't any cold joints and that nothing's shorting out, that sort of thing.

Check at the MAF sensor's connector for 12V with a meter? Then wiggle the solder joint real good while watching the voltage -- if the 12V was solid through that then it eliminates that possibility, at least.
